In this class we will be entering square roots often.

To get a square root you will enter "sqrt()" with whatever you want to take the square root of in the parentheses.

Some examples:

Enter	To get
sqrt(4)	$\displaystyle \sqrt{{{4}}}$ = 2
sqrt(2)/5	$\displaystyle \frac{\sqrt{{{2}}}}{{5}}$ = 0.282842712474619
sqrt(3^2 x)	$\displaystyle \sqrt{{{3}^{{2}}{x}}}$
