Sampling Technique Scenarios

Directions: For each question below, please select the technique that most closely matches the description.

1. You work for a company as a quality control specialist. You want to check the current production of products for defects. Your factory has 5 different assembly lines. At the end of the day, you visit each assembly line and randomly choose four items to inspect.


2. You want to investigate the voter's opinions on an upcoming issue for your city. You obtain a list of the registered voters and randomly select 100 names. You contact each of the randomly chosen voters and ask for their opinion.


3. You work for a company as a quality control specialist. You want to check the current production of products for defects. You locate the finished products for the day and inspect the first 20 items you happen to see.
