In 2014, a study done of all Sacramento City College students showed the mean age of students in the first year of college to be 20.3 years old with a standard deviation of 1.2 years. In 2018, data collected from a random sample of 100 SCC students showed the mean age of students in the first year of college to be 19.8 years old with a standard deviation of 1.5 years.
